Educational climbing for educational centers
Our educational project
El Sputnik educational project For children and teenagers, climbing is used as a means to acquire values, attitudes, and new experiences.
We adapt to the specific needs of each age and each student, relying on the principles of equality, respect and cooperation.

“We learn 10% of what we read, and 30% of what we see and hear.” and 80% of what we experience.” William Glaser
Our pedagogy
We have designed a circuit of activities that we always adapt to the age of the students (from 4 to 24 years old) and the needs of the educational center.
In this way, in the same session we work on different games, dynamics, climbing techniques and psychomotor exercises, to cover all areas of training that enhance self-knowledge and physical, psychological and social skills.
Climbing as a teaching tool
Areas of work
physical
Climbing trains various physical skills, such as strength (dynamic and static), endurance, speed, flexibility, coordination, balance, and mobility. But it's not just the targeted muscles that are trained; the entire body works harmoniously. Source/study: Geisteier, 2009; Kittel et al., 2010; Muehlbauer et al., 2013
psychological
Our sport promotes individual cognitive effectiveness and a sense of well-being, which can influence the strengthening of personal efficacy, self-confidence, self-discipline, self-perception, and even the sensation and fear of pain. Source/study: Dittrich et al., 2014; Karg et al., 2020; Veser, 2009
social
Students need to develop trust among themselves to be able to focus on their climbing. Building trust and observing others do the same is a process of acquiring skills (communication, teamwork, adaptability, participation, etc.). In this way, some students discover that being part of a team and keeping others safe while climbing helps them in other areas of life. Source/study: Jack Jane, Brian Wattchow, Glyn Thomas - 2022

A climbing paradise: 160 routes up to 20 meters long, 45 belay points, and an outdoor climbing wall. And let's not forget the 850 m² bouldering area, the high-performance zone, the family area, changing rooms, and…of course, the bar is spectacular!

Our center in the Los Metales neighborhood of Arganzuela is dedicated to bouldering (although it does have a small short route area). It features 180 problems spread across 2500 square meters. At Sputnik Legazpi, we've given the spaces a modern twist on design and lighting. It also includes a family area (with a slide), a stretching room, and a gym.
Sputnik Chamberí
Located in the heart of Madrid, this new center boasts 1450 m2 of bouldering and climbing routes (up to 12 meters), a fitness area, a family area, changing rooms, Kilter… and the most traditional Sputnik Canteen.
